All rooms have fans and mosquito nets. The hotel has its own reliable water supply. The rooftop restaurant, with one of the finest views in Lamu, offers a good selection of seafood dishes and Swahili delicacies, Vegetarians are catered for.
During the day you can take a dhow sailing to Matondoni or visit 16th Century Takwa Ruins, go fishing and snorkelling at Manda Toto or take a 3km or 15 minutes boat ride to fabulous Shella beach, 14km of golden sand backed by dunes.
In the evening take leisurely walk through the town streets and drift into the night fragrance of the peaceful evening bazaar life and enjoy the aromas of charcoal cooked shish kebabs and strong coffee.

Rates subject to change without notice. However, rooms booked with a deposit or paid for in full will not be subject to any changes in rates.
A deposit of 50% towards your total bill for your stay at Stone House Hotel Lamu is payable to tentatively confirm your accommodation. Your 50% deposit is payable either via Electronic Bank Fund Transfer (SWIFT EFT) or through the Western Union / Safaricom International Mobile Money Transfer service for overseas clients by using your credit card. If you reside or are already in Kenya, you can make your payment via Safaricom M-Pesa or direct bank deposit, details available upon request.
The balance of 50% is payable 14 days prior to your check-in date. If booking is made with less than 14 days to date of check-in, then full payment is applicable to confirm your booking.
However, the above accommodation booking criteria will not apply for clients checking in as from 10th December 2012 to 7th January 2013 when full payment is required prior to confirmation of your accommodation.
Upon receipt of your initial deposit, we will send you a Tentative Booking Confirmation Voucher, as an email attachment, which will also acknowldge receipt of your deposit and will show your check-in / check-out dates and room type booked. Upon receipt of your balance, we will send you a Booking Confirmation Voucher, as an e-mail attachment, and which you will present at the Stone House Hotel reception desk upon arrival.
